Nana arrived yesterday, in time to attend Grandparents' Day at the kids' school. She went to All School Mass with all of the grades and the other grandparents, took a tour of the school, spent some time in each of the kids' classrooms, and had lunch with them. Here are some pictures from the day...
In Keely's classroom, Mrs. Luna leading the class in songs. Keely's in the front row dressed up in a princess dress.

Here's Quinn hard at work on a puzzle in his classroom.

Here they are together in the lunch room. Keely usually eats in EDP but today, she got to eat in the lunchroom with the big kids.

Here's Nana and Keely, ready to leave after the fun filled morning.

All in all, seemed like a good day. It's fun to have some pictures of the kids in their school environments, since I don't get to see that. Hopefully I will get to take some time off work and volunteer in each of their classrooms at least once this year. Ah, the times I sort of wish I was a stay at home mom, or at least part time, so I would have more time to spend in the school...but I know I would be bored at home alone.
Next up, our weekend getaway to Vegas. Nana will fly with us on Friday night, and Papa will meet us there the same night. We all stay until Monday night, and then James comes home on Tuesday. Quinn's birthday is a week from today, and the 17th will always be in my mind because it was my due date with him -- now 7 years ago today. I will never forget that date, even though he wasn't born until a week later. There's just something about the day you focus on for 9 months even though most babies aren't born on their due date (and mine don't like to come out early either).

Erin I can totally relate to what you mean about not being able to see our kids more often in their school environment...heavy sigh. Can't wait to hear about Vegas!
